How it works

From wallet to dashboard in three steps.

You add your cards, log how you spend, and Fins does the math. No bank linking, no aggregator in the middle.

1

Add your cards

Pick from a preset catalog of about twenty common cards (Amex Platinum, Chase Sapphire Reserve, Capital One Venture X, and friends), or enter a custom card. Presets auto-fill annual fee, anniversary date, point value, and reward type.

2

Log spend and redemptions

Add an earn entry when you collect points or cash back, and a redeem entry when you cash them out. Each transaction tags the card it landed on. The card balance and sign-up bonus progress update on the next render.

3

Watch the dashboard

Portfolio totals, per-card balance, dollar value, sign-up bonus progress, perk capture rate, and upcoming annual fees all show up in one screen. Drill into any card to see its history and edit any entry inline.

4

(Optional) Install the Chrome extension

If you'd rather not type point balances by hand, install Fins Sync from extension/. Log into your issuer portal, click the extension, and the live balance gets posted back to your tracker as a delta transaction. The Offers panel pulls in Amex / Chase / BoA deals the same way.

What you don't have to do

Finstracker is opinionated about what it leaves out.

No bank linking

We don't ask for your bank credentials. No Plaid, no screen-scraping, no OAuth dance. Your data stays out of third-party aggregators.
